Meet our Staff

Annie Stroud

Director

My name is Annie Stroud, and I serve as Director.  I previously was a teacher of the three-years olds for several years. I have been at Bethlehem either as a parent or teacher for 12 years. Before teaching at Preschool, I taught First Grade in Forsyth County.  I’ve been married to my wonderful husband, Brad, for 12 years.  We live in Advance with our three amazing kids.  In my spare time I enjoy spending time with friends and family.  I am excited for another year of fun and learning at Bethlehem Angels Preschool!

Melinda Norman

Administrative Assistant

Hi, I am Mrs. Melinda.  I started my career in education here at Bethlehem Angels Preschool in 1996, the preschool’s very first year.  I found that this was my calling.  I love children and talking about Jesus.  I left in 1998 to start a 25-year career with the Davie County school system.  I retired in March of 2023.

I have now returned to where it all started, beginning my first year as administrative assistant for the preschool.  I know without a doubt that God led me back!!

I have been married to the love of my life, Isaac, for 42 years, and we have two adult daughters, Megan and Taylor.  Our daughters have blessed us with three granddaughters and one new grandson.  We have four dogs–Ruger, Tiny, Gussie Mae, and Pepper.

Thank you for entrusting your children to our preschool!

Jen Rogers

Teacher, One-year olds

Hello, my name is Jen Rogers.  This is my second year teaching at Bethlehem Angels Preschool.  I was a teacher assistant and as substitute teacher here before becoming a teacher.  I love ministering to children and helping them develop, learn, and grow into who God made them to be.

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”  Proverbs 22:6

I love Jesus, and I serve regularly in the children’s ministry at my church.  I am married, and we have two children who are both Bethlehem Angels graduates.  When I am not at preschool, church, or homeschooling my children, I enjoy taking care of my chickens, reading, and crafting.

Heather Robertson

Teacher, Two-years olds

Hi, I’m Ms. Heather. I have been a teacher here at Bethlehem Angels Preschool for six years.

I was the one’s teacher for four years, and this is my second year as the two’s teacher. I love teaching my students in a hands-on learning environment. Sometimes we get messy but learning through sensory and being outdoors is such an important learning process for my students.

I love teaching, encouraging, and helping young minds grow.

In my spare time I enjoy fishing, hunting and spending time with my family.  My husband Nick and I have been married for nine years and we have an 8-year old daughter (Maddielynn) and a 4-year old son (Holden).  My daughter is a graduate of Bethlehem, and my son has been here since he was one and will be graduating in May.

I am also the camp leader for my daughter’s Girl Scout troop.

I’m looking forward to another amazing year of teaching your sweet kiddos here at Bethlehem.

Heather Patton

Teacher, Three-year olds

Hello, my name is Heather Patton.  I started in the classroom for one and two-year old children in 2019 here at Bethlehem.  Now I am a teacher of three-year-old children.  I love having the privilege to help guide these little minds to a “love of learning” and even better to show them God’s love.

I am happily married to my husband Jarred, and we have three beautiful children.  We also have two beautiful “furry” children—Hazel is a not-so-spry chocolate Lab mix and is 12 years old; Leo is a white Husky and is a very hyper 2 ½ years old.  Both of my older children have a love of working with little ones too!  Cadence is 20, and she works here at Bethlehem as an assistant in the two’s classroom, along with working at the after-school program through the “Y” at a local elementary school and is almost finished with her degree in Criminal Justice Technology.  My oldest son is 19 and works with the same after-school program that my daughter does, along with working on a degree in Physical Education.  My youngest is 6, and he has just started kindergarten this year.  My children are my pride and joy.  I would not be who or where I am today if it were not for their love for me.  Every decision I make is for them and my husband.

I hope I can provide the same level of compassion and love to your children that I strive to give mine.  Thank you for trusting our school and its staff with your babies!

Shannon Grimes

Teacher, Three-year olds

I am excited to be teaching this year at Bethlehem Angels Preschool in one of the wonderful three-year olds classrooms.  I am a native of Davie County and have lived on or “off of” Redland Road in Advance, as have multi-generations of my family.

Being a Mom to three adult children and a first-time “Shae Shae” (Grandma) are my biggest blessings in life.

While I am new to Bethlehem Angels, I am have been an early educational educator for nineteen years.  Watching children grow and accomplishing new learning skills in a school where God is the center of it all makes my teacher’s heart happy.

I feel very blessed to be a part of a fabulous team of educators and staff here at Bethlehem Angels.  God opened a door at just the right time, which is always His right time . . . “Thanks Be To God.”

Angela Pitcher

Teacher, Four-year olds

Hi, I’m Ms. Angela, and this is my sixth year at Bethlehem Angels.  I started my teaching career in Brunswick County, N. C. teaching four-year olds in the public school system.  After several years, we moved to Raleigh, N. C. where I changed from public schools to a private Christian preschool.  I taught there for ten years before we moved to Dallas, TX.  While in Texas, I continued in the private Christian preschool world, and then in 2017, we moved back to North Carolina, and I started teaching at Bethlehem Angels in 2018.

I have been married to the love of my life, Bill, for twenty-two years, and we have two teenage daughters, ages 17 and 14.  I also have the craziest dog, Molly.  When I am not at school, you can probably find me on a volleyball court or in the track stands “cheering on” my kiddos.

Thank you for sharing your babies with me, and hopefully in return, I will instill in them a love for learning.

Marie Williams

Teacher, Four-year olds

Hello, my name is Marie Williams, and this is my third year here at Bethlehem Angels Preschool.  I have worked with the three-year olds, and now I am working in the four-year olds classroom.  I worked previously for eight years with Davie County Schools in the exceptional children’s classroom.

At home I have a husband, Bryan, and a son, Liam, who is in the first grade.  I am so blessed and happy to be working here at Bethlehem Angels Preschool.

Paula Ijames

This is my first year teaching at Bethlehem Angels Preschool, and I am excited about helping young minds prepare for kindergarten.
